1. Airport

    The airport staff is responsible for maintenance of airport grounds, the terminal and runways. They also provide fueling for Cessna and private airplanes which fly into or are based at the airport.

    The Independence Housing Authority is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life by providing decent and affordable housing in a safe secure living environment for low and moderate-income residents throughout the City of Independence.

  9. Memorial Hall

    The Memorial Hall building consist of a nearly 2,000 seat auditorium with the latest computerized sound, lighting and stage rigging equipment, and more.

  10. Municipal Court

    The Independence Municipal Court deals with alleged violations of City ordinances committed within the City limits.

  11. Park & Zoo

    The Park Department is responsible for maintaining Riverside Park, five neighborhood parks and trees in the downtown.
