Reception set for out-going City commissioner Ysusi
The public is invited to attend a special reception in honor of out-going Independence City Commissioner and Mayor Louis Ysusi on Thursday, January 11, at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall, 120 N. 6th.
Ysusi has served on the Independence City Commission since January 2018, including three terms as mayor: January 2019-January 2020; January 2021-2022; and January 2023-2024.
Ysusi’s reception will be immediately followed by the commission’s regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Room, at which time the commission’s reorganization will be conducted and new Commissioner Scott Smith will be inducted.
