[ARCHIVED] City offering CPR/First Aid Class

City of Indy CPR Class

In observance of LOVE Independence day on Saturday, April 28, the City of Independence will offer a CPR/First Aid class for area residents.

Instructed by Fire/EMS Captain Keith Copithke, the course will be conducted in the Leadership Conference Room at Temporary City Hall, 800 W. Laurel, and will cover adult, child and infant CPR from approximately 9 a.m. to 12 noon and basic first aid from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is $40 for participants living inside the Independence city limits and $50 for those outside. The fee includes instructional materials and a full day of training. Participants may choose to attend only the morning or afternoon session, but the registration fee remains the same.

Those completing both sessions of the course will earn a two-year certification by the American Heart Association.

Registration may be completed on the city’s website at www.independenceks.gov, and the class fee is required by April 25 in the city clerk’s office.
