[ARCHIVED] Disaster drill at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at ICC West Campus on West Main Street

The City of Independence Emergency Management in conjunction with Independence Fire-EMS & Police, Independence Labette Health, Labette Health, Montgomery Emergency Management, Independence Community College & Montgomery County Sheriff office will be conducting a disaster drill at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at ICC West Campus on West Main Street. The scenario is an active shooter scenario and will test the response of emergency services and our emergency response plan for the City of Independence. The event, which is being staged by the City of Independence is our continued efforts to practice our emergency plan, train personnel, and work with our partners in Montgomery County emergency services, Independence Labette Health, local businesses, industries, and schools.

The City will take precautions to ensure the safety of the participants including signage & security stating a disaster drill is in progress. Citizens will not be allowed into ICC West Campus during the drill.
