Penn Terrace Apartments
Penn Terrace Apartments were constructed in 1978 by the City of Independence for persons 62 years of age and older. Residents’ rents are 30% of their adjusted monthly income with a HUD subsidy paying the difference. Residents are responsible for their telephone service, internet and a nominal payment for television service. All other utilities are included in the rent.
The Lord gave me so many days to mend my ways he will let me know when it's done.
We here in Penn Terrace maybe tired and feeble and old, but God be my witness these people here at Penn Terrace have a heart of gold.
We aren'tthrow-aways from our families, we came here on our own.
We feel safe and secure in our little apartments and will stay until God calls us home.
We have entertainment of all kind, the beautiful music willsoothe our mind.
So come on down to Penn Terrace to visit your loved ones, no better people will you find.
When you visit Penn Terrace give all these great people a bigsmile, because one of these days there's a very good chance this will be your home for awhile.
Now I don't question the reason we get old and feeble and I really don't want to know why, so I will be happy in mytwo-room apartment until God calls me home to that beautiful Penn Terrace in the sky.
