Online bill pay is now available for customers wishing to pay their City of Independence utility bills and Municipal Court citations online utilizing their Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card.
Customers utilizing this service will be charged a convenience fee per transaction consisting of $1.25 for utility payments and $1.50 for Municipal Court payments. The convenience fee is paid directly to Tyler Technologies to provide this service and it will appear on credit or debit card statements as a separate charge. **AT THIS TIME, ALL CONVENIENCE FEES ARE BEING WAIVED**

Call 844-215-7377 and use our automated voice recognition system. For security purposes, we will no longer manually take payments over the phone. The City of Independence has waived convenience fees for making phone payments through our automated system.
Automatic Bank Draft Payments
A convenience fee will not be charged for those who wish to set up automatic bank payments at City Hall. To set up automatic payments download the form below and return the completed form to the Water Department at 811 W. Laurel St.
