City Manager Craig Whitehead conducted a Leadership Commitment Session yesterday, which followed the City’s new motto of “Delivering Excellence,” and included all City of Independence supervisors. The training focused on four core values: Integrity – The Power of Honesty; Commitment – The Power of Responsibility; Excellence – The Power of Quality; and Teamwork – The Power of Working Together. This training followed the strategic alignment with the City’s new vision of Service Excellence, Continuous Improvement and Teamwork. It also followed the City’s new mission, “Excellence in providing municipal services to our residents, visitors and business community to foster a high quality of life.”
