If you are in the floodplain and have flood damage in addition to the permit process mentioned in the previous press release, please make contact with your insurance company, obtain estimates and verify that contractors have City licenses before signing a contract or authorizing them to perform work. City employees are currently surveying the storm damage and will be attempting to contact property owners to assist them with the flood permit process as required by FEMA. Call City Hall at 620-332-2500, Option 1 to verify whether a contractor has a valid City license.
